No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Clusters

No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Clusters

These easy chocolate peanut butter pretzel clusters are crunchy, creamy, salty, and sweet. They require no oven, just a few simple ingredients and a little chilling time.

Makes: About 20–24 clusters
Prep time: 15 minutes
Chill time: 30–60 minutes
Total time: About 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mini pretzels, roughly broken
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening, optional
  • ½ cup roasted peanuts, roughly chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, optional
  • Flaky sea salt, for topping, optional

Instructions

1. Prepare the baking sheet

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.

Set it aside.

2. Prepare the pretzels

Place the mini pretzels in a large bowl and gently break them into smaller pieces.

Don’t crush them into crumbs—you want plenty of chunky pieces for a good crunchy texture.

Add the chopped peanuts and toss them together.

3. Melt the chocolate

Place the semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.

Microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring well after each interval.

Continue until the chocolate is almost completely melted.

Stir until completely smooth.

If desired, add the coconut oil while melting. It helps make the chocolate smoother and easier to coat the pretzels.

Tip: Don’t overheat the chocolate. Gentle heating and frequent stirring will give you a much smoother coating.

4. Add the peanut butter

Stir the peanut butter into the melted chocolate.

Continue stirring until you have a smooth, creamy chocolate-peanut-butter mixture.

If you’re using unsalted peanut butter, you can add a tiny pinch of salt for extra flavor.

5. Add the pretzels and peanuts

Pour the chocolate-peanut butter mixture over the pretzels and peanuts.

Using a spatula, gently fold everything together until the pretzels and peanuts are well coated.

Try not to stir too aggressively—you want to keep some of the pretzel pieces intact.

6. Form the clusters

Using a spoon or small cookie scoop, drop heaping spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.

Make each cluster about 1½–2 tablespoons.

You can make them small for bite-sized treats or larger for a more substantial snack.

7. Add toppings

While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle the clusters with a little flaky sea salt.

You can also add:

  • Chopped peanuts
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Crushed pretzels
  • Peanut butter chips
  • Sprinkles
  • Shredded coconut

8. Chill

Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes, or until the chocolate has completely hardened.

You can also place them in the freezer for about 15–20 minutes if you’re in a hurry.

9. Serve

Once firm, remove the clusters from the parchment paper and serve.

They’re especially good straight from the refrigerator when the chocolate is firm and the pretzels are extra crunchy.

Tips for Perfect Clusters

Use creamy peanut butter. Conventional creamy peanut butter works best because it creates a smooth, stable mixture.

Don’t use too many pretzels. You want everything coated in chocolate and peanut butter without the clusters falling apart.

Keep the pretzels chunky. Larger pieces give the clusters their satisfying crunch.

Add flaky salt. The salty-sweet combination makes the chocolate and peanut butter taste even richer.

Let them set completely. If they’re still soft, give them more time in the refrigerator.

Easy Variations

Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Clusters

Replace the semi-sweet chocolate with dark chocolate for a richer, less-sweet version.

White Chocolate Version

Use white chocolate chips instead of milk chocolate. Add crushed pretzels and peanuts for a sweet-and-salty treat.

Extra Peanut Butter

For a stronger peanut butter flavor, increase the peanut butter to 1¼ cups. Chill the mixture thoroughly before serving.

S’mores Clusters

Add mini marshmallows and crushed graham crackers to the pretzel mixture before coating everything with chocolate.

Caramel Pretzel Clusters

Drizzle the finished clusters with melted caramel and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

Storage

Store the clusters in an airtight container.

  • Room temperature: 2–3 days, if your kitchen is cool
  • Refrigerator: Up to 2 weeks
  • Freezer: Up to 2 months

If frozen, let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes before eating.

Quick Version

Melt 2 cups chocolate chips + 1 cup peanut butter, stir in 2 cups broken mini pretzels + ½ cup chopped peanuts, scoop into clusters, sprinkle with flaky salt, and refrigerate until firm.

The result: crunchy pretzels + creamy peanut butter + rich chocolate + a little salt = an incredibly easy no-bake treat. 🍫🥨
